chrispti
Had an awesome driven/walked up day in west Sussex last weekend with MJT. The dog worked her socks off all day long, couldn't have been more pleased with her ... There were 6 guns, with a bag totaling 40. Over 20 of that bag were shot by MJT and myself. I managed 7 species on my own, pigeon, pheasant, woodcock, my first ever snipe, mallard, teal and wigeon. We had some fantastic memorable shots between us, and a bit of a laugh at my expense, for missing some easy birds the dog pushed up . chrispti
Thanks, There was also a brace of partridge, a jay and a squirrel to add to bag, so a nice variety was had.

Catweazle
That looks like a fantastic day, the idea of such a mixed bag appeals to me much more than a big haul of all the same birds. Good shooting, and a very cute dog too.

chrispti
Thanks again.... I'm a bit the same with pigeon shooting these days, much prefer to get under a flight line and enjoy the testing shooting, than shooting 100s coming into the decoys on a conveyor belt.....
