Millomite
These are a couple of photos of our family syndicate day. The total bag was 31, comprised of 25 pheasant, 3 partridge, 2 woodcock and a pigeon. An enjoyable day for all with 3 new beaters who each got a brace and were well chuffed! pin
Cracking scenery and smiles all round, forget the number of birds or the hit rate, though more than generous, its the smiles that make it worth it every single time

Highlander
One of the phesant in the middle looks blue. Whys that then? Harry Melanistic, it's due to abnormal development of black skin pigment. These birds can range in colour from black thru blue to green. Some will even change colour in different light conditions. Keeper on estate here puts down a lot with other birds so he can spot where his birds are straying to. Saw on the other day that was peacock blue quite amazing. Looks like a good day was had by all. Quality not quantity!
