Well i was at a loose end this afternoon and with a strong west wind i decided to head out for a look at a few fields so i packed the motor and took a couple of dogs and headed out i arrived at the farm at one thirty and six fields had been sown so i sat and watched for ten minutes and picked a flightline out i could get the car staight to the tree i had chosen and quickly set my stall out with 20 half shells and the magnet on stand by for when i could get a couple of birds to go on it after half an hour i wss begining to wonder if i had got it right as not a bird had returned .

I managed to drop a couple of pigeons and from then on it was manic with birds dropping in from all angles i was hitting a fair few that just seemed to take the shot and keep flying to the bottom of the the roll over in mid air as they ran out of fuel and drop into a willow plantation that i could not get into as it is deer fenced .at four the flight line changed and the birds shifted two fields over to my left but i was still getting some coming to the decoys by five thirty the flight had dryed up and it was time to pack up a further hour of cleaning up and the dogs were nackered and hot so a quick drive to the farm to water them and then a run round the fields either side of my hibe and picked 11 birds from two fields to go with the 108 that i picked of the field i was shooting and i think i would have lost 10 - 15 in the willows so a cracking day and all for 175 shots post-15459-0-60612700-1366574844_thumb.jpg

Lovely bag mate, well done.

I hit a pigeon hard the other afternoon whilst roost shooting, had a pocket full of odds and ends, hit this particular bird with an rc sipe, 32g 4 ..... Thought id missed at first, as the bird never flinched, but I watched it get to the other side of the field before he fell stone dead. On picking it up and checking, he had 3 pellet holes in his chest.... The shot was well in the chest cavity too.....

thanks buddy i had a dolly mixture of about 50 shells most of them were 28 gm 6s and the just didnt work for me i shot bird at the same range and hight with 32 gr 6s and folded them in the air but some people will get on with 28gr me i cant lol

Top bag fella and good shooting. It's amazing how hard a cushie can be hit but with a good wind still keep going long enough. Pity aboot losing the anes in the willows but I suppose that's the pitfalls of having ***** dugs that canna climb deer fences.

cheers ya muppet yeh your right the wind did help the doo,s drift off i recon if the

Wind had been less most would have dropped in the bottom of the field as for the quality dogs mines are working dogs not half breed pot lickers like yours shower of **** that climb fences to get away from you lol
