huffhuff
All my local pubs allow dogs. I can only think of maybe 1 or 2 in the entire town that wouldn't. You should move.
Thunderbird
I can't think of a pub round my way that doesn't. But hard though it is to believe not everyone loves people's slobbering "best mate" as much as they do. I don't mind a dog in a pub that keeps itself to itself (to be fair most working dogs do) but an annoying one does my head in. It's no different from someone's toddler hassling you. chrispti
My dog was allowed in the local, right up untill she snapped off the biggest smellyest **** by the pool table.....
al4x
Ours is fine and have even forgiven me for my Gwp pulling its lead free and chasing their cat up the tree outside. Had the door not been open I can see she would be barred
AlistairB
Mine love going to pubs, one local gives them a biscuit and the IPA slops tray, the other has a nice scented candle for when they drop their guts!
leeds chimp
only one pub round here does not allow dogs.....its great on a sunday "taking the dogs for a "walk" ...even better the bus goes half way there so dont have to walk as far... :whistling:

Flashman
Not all owners bother to train their dogs, so it ruins it for the rest.
rimfire4969
Most of the pubs around this way allow dogs. I think you need to change pubs.
stumpy69
Same here most pubs allow dogs. When we were looking to buy our house we were taking everything into consideration, after viewing if we liked the house we would go to the local pub ideally a short walk away. First question do you have any ales, second can I take the dog in. A no to either meant eother seing if another pub in walking distance or look at another house. oscarsdad
Of the two in my village the one I frequent more often is the one the dogs are allowed in. There is a big "no dogs" sign on the door but that doesn't apply to locals lol!

DaveK
Never used to be like that. In my youth I'd go into a pub and nearly always come out with one dog or other. How times change Edited June 16, 2013 by DaveK
evo
don't allow dogs or kids in our pub, nothing worse than a dog fighting with another and also fleas,,no thanks plus whenever we did allow dogs in people would always complain,, as for kids in the pub we stopped this because people were getting drunk and were not interested in looking after them , jumping up and down all over the furniture running round like wild animals , their parents where more interested in drinking, so now we have a kids must be out of the pub before 6.30pm, by the way I love dogs so I,m not having a go but I think if you saw the state of some of them you would not go near them either
