rimfire4969
I went over our small shoot this morning, the sun was shinning and there was a fair wind. I can drive to just about all the feed bins and pens but as I normally do when time allows I parked up Brenda the Defender and walked with my dog and rough semi shotgun that i use when feeding up and a handful of cartridges. Walking through the woods they seemed alive with song birds. Our birds looked good and happy and are coming on really well. I headed to one bin that is a long way from any pens and disturbed a beautiful cock bird from I guess last year he took to the wing and flow high and fast over the wood. By the bin is a spot that happens to be one of my favourite places to sit and watch the world go by. Sat here a couple of woodies and a crow decided to pay me a visit and some snap shooting brought all three down over about half an hour period. As I headed back to Brenda i got to thinking how would life be without doing what I love to do, working the dog, raising the pheasants and shooting I decided it would be ****. In all I was out for about 1 1/2 hours and how happy this makes me and also dinner sorted. Not a big bag by anyone's standards but rememberable in its own way. filzee
I have never not enjoyed a day out walking on the land i have access too. I often just sit on the hedge row for half an hour or so and just enjoy the countryside. What shootings all about.
