Nice shooting mate. I know nothing about duck shooting, so the only duck I eat comes from the supermarket alas. Tell me, is there much taste difference between our various species of duck? Is a teal tastier than a mallard? does a wigeon out flavour a gadwall? I'm totally ignorant about them, and that doesn't taste good in the mouth!

The teal and widgeon go to a friend who makes Teal pate, he has the widgeon breast for a snack. I will eat the mallard breasts with a Chinese stir fry as I find it to strong on its own.

As much as a Rabbit tastes different than a Hare with some. Always depends more on what they have been eating though

Thanks for that chaps. I have a soft spot for teal, but only from a bird watching angle. How a bird tastes doesn't feature too highly with that hobby!
