With their expenses and second homes allowance they already get the equivalent of two salaries from taxpayers plus they're allowed to earn what they want in other jobs. Salaries were only introduced so the Labour Party could afford to have MPs because the Tories & Liberals were mainly rich landowners who saw Parliament as a public service and were happy (and could afford) to sit for nothing.
