Importing chokes from the USA

Sorry I missed those , but they only have Briley and not enough information about them for me to make a informed decision.

I'm certainly no expert, but going from what I've seen other fowlers use, if you're going for a choke to pattern steel well at distance, I think a light full ext Briley would be a good choice. Muncher from this forum was using full and extra full in his Browning.

I shoot light full ext briley chokes in my browning waterfowl, got two for just over £70 from potters of Kent, I put plenty of BB ammo through the chokes with no bother.

Thanks , that's good to know that they are ok with bigger shot, do you use ported or plain ?

anaconda deliver to the u.k and do all types of chokes long range short range and how did i miss that range.you just put your model type in and all the variety are listed for that gun atb clakk

cheers I will take a look.

Just plain ones , to be fair I shoot with ukfowler off the forum down on sheps when I get down, and he runs the same set up in his browning waterfowl, so I got a set and pattern tested them with gamebore mamoths bbs and Remington nitro steel bbs all in 3 1/2 inch, and found they patterned well, Motty has mentioned the same set up as well.

Try chris potter at Kent , cracking service takes a day so and it will be with you.

I have already ordered it from the web site above 37 euro , its a job to get get them from the uk in the probore format , fine if you have a Beretta or Browning but dont think there are enough Versamax's about to make it worth while and the older remingtons use a different choke.

I have successfully imported chokes from these guys in Texas http://www.performanceshootinghq.com/

Despite gun components falling into the scope of the very strict US ITAR (International Trade Arms Regulations) that have eye watering fines and lengthy prison sentences attached these chaps seem quite happy to post chokes in a Jiffy bag with the customs paperwork marked as 'tubes'.

Being Texan they almost certainly believe that the rules don't apply to them :) .
