red_stag88
No goats but some good pics. Spot the posed self portrait picture I hope you like these pics lads, cus i'm not going back up there in a hurry. I only walked 8 miles in two days but i did end up climbing 4500ft, it's not easy going up there in 27oC in somewhere with no OZ so I still got burnt even with factor 30 on. I feel damn sorry for those hobbits, if some weirdo in a dress with a stick and a beard told be to climb over a few of them to destroy a ring, I'd tell him to shove it up his **** and tell him to get on the back of an eagle and fly the lazy ***. Having said that the scenery was fantasic from that hight, and the only inlcing of civilisation was the occasional chopper doing scenic tours around the lake - or taking a richer hunter out to the alps. Incidentally the choppers were flying below me. I sat in the shade of a rock to glass around the faces and got quite personal with a bop hunting hares near me - a wonderful sight. Keep the faith lads, I'll kill one for you all soon :yp:

red_stag88
Are you allowed mods on your guns in NZ? Nice pics by the way, though some ginger goon seems to have spoilt one of them GINGER!!!! That goon is in fact a natural blond! What mods do you mean? You can get sound moderators yes. You can also get semi auto full bore rifles too. They often use them when they shoot deer out of the choppers when they are clearing bush for a station or whatever. Vulcha
I was talking about sound moderators. It seems like a pretty awesome place out there. How hard is it to get an FAC or equivilent out there?
red_stag88
I walked into the cop shop, waived my passport and FAC and the woman and she just filled out my name on a piece of paper and got me to sign it. I walked over the road and bought my rifle 10 mins later Although it is much more similar to here if you are a citizen. The fac is like out DL card thing. The dont get you to regester the firearms, just the users.
Paul in North Lincs.
Breath taking senery....very atmospheric indeed. That would be my idea of near perfection to be able to wander around such a beautifull place with the 'big fell' strapped to me back. Good for you Red and yes....................................I am green with envy
red_stag88
Great pictures made me think about where i stalk in scotland( roll on pay day ), do you live in NZ OR JUST A HOLLS I'm currently on a working holiday here. Been dariying for 3 months, got three months more of that then hopefully off to a station if i get the job. Paul- I'm currently sat in Queenstown airport lounge waiting for a flight to Auckland to see some mates. This is the most beautiful airport lounge ever! Every side has the Remarkable mountains to look at, if I had my binos I'm sure i would be able to spot a goat or a red knocking around
