casts_by_fly
Hi guys, In the past i have used various things available to me as we normally have a bunch of old a1or a0 posters at work or other big rolls. However, we don't have anything laying around at the moment and i also want something big. I would like to get to 8' square with at most 2 pieces taped together. I want to make a bunch of these (i will make a stand or similar to hold it) and run some long distance pattern tests with a couple different load/choke combos. What paper is available in this county at a reasonable price that would work? Thanks Rick

MAB1954
This is what I do, its not quite what you want but it may help. I tape up old rolls of wall paper to make about a square yard then draw on a 30" circle job done, cheap and cheerful. Hope this helps. Michael. Sempers
I have a plotter, (huge printer) that takes a roll of paper about 4 foot wide. You can have some if its any good?
r1steele
Lining paper is cheap and a couple of rolls will do a few pattern plates. I don't think you will get anything off the shelf that will do 8' with only 2 pieces taped together. Looks like Sempers has the solution. wymberley
On another thread recently someone suggested floor lining paper. B&Q do one 20 by 1 metres.
TIGHTCHOKE
I look forward to the results, the spread over 8 feet wide paper should leave a lot of holes in the pattern. Casts_by_fly what sort of load are you hoping to develop?
Grandalf
Go to a 'Party' shop. They sell very long rolls of paper to cover tables for parties etc. They are about 3 - 4 feet wide. Works well for me.
casts_by_fly
Hi guys. Thanks for the suggestions. I will see what i can get locally and what is the best value for it. Plotter paper is what i used in the past (didn't know the name) as we had a printer at work and i used some old rolls. Sempers- thanks for the offer. Let me have a look locally first and see what i can find. Tightchoke- not looking to develop a load so much as test a couple load/choke combinations at their limits. For instance, pushing out a 28 g load of 6's at 40-50 yards through a 1/4 and 1/2 chokes and comparing that to 7's with the same. Also looking at my mossberg with extended range choke at 60 yards with 42 g 5's. I know how those loads perform at 40 yards (except for the 7's) but i want to push the out a bit, thus the need for bigger paper. Thanks Rick

Old farrier
Hi You could try empty animal feed bags or paper potatoe sacks cut down side and open up staple to pallet All the best Of
