The gunsmith phoned me and said he opened her up and found the firing pin had broken - so he made me a new one and he hopefully will deliver it to a RFD near me tomorrow as ill be in London most of the day. Yes, we've heard it all before from those dodgy Northerners; "my Giro didn't arrive on time"..........."I had my collar felt by the old bill whilst removing a set of alloys off a Southerners car on the M6 Southbound",..........."I've overspent on Lottery tickets / scratchcards / beer / fags / black pudding / loose women"...etc, etc Excuses will get you nowhere, this year the trophy is heading back home, to where it belongs, we've rooted out all of those "one shoot wonder" ringers who've entered for the North before, it'll be a great contest, with a fair result.... Let's see, Southern wins 1, The North wins 3 so I don't know where it belongs but it's certainly got used to living in the North where it will be heading back to on Saturday afternoon. This will be in spite of holding it in the Souths back yard (any further South and the refs would speak French!) and packing the Southern team with ringers.
