Bought a nice little 410 last week to use on the small bore day on the crown shoot .

thought it would be rude not to try it out over the weekend , headed off with the lad and first of all bagged a rabbit at approx 30 yrds :D moved on and bagged another then bagged a crow then a squirrel thought i better let the lad have a shot .

He spotted a rabbit and lifted the gun and im thinking that's a bit far son , bang one dead rabbit paced out at 47 yrds :w00t: then he went on and shot a magpie :smartass:

on the way back we came across some horse mushrooms (mushrooms in June :o ) picked a hat full and returned home .

A few picks for you

Mushrooms in June? We must be in for a very odd year climatically.

First time ive ever picked them in June  he had topped the grass and left it on the ground so would of been damp and moist ,only explanation i can think of :hmm:

We used to get a load of horse and field mushrooms round here around this time of year, but they were always seriously flyblown and full of maggots so they got left.

Lovely little gun, looks like a toy!

Two or three went in the bin ,but the rest was fine :good:

Thinking pw should have a 410 week when we all get back to what we started with
