figgy
I have the Greylag and it takes no blowing to sound good, delivered very quick. Bought a buck gardener double nasty last season otherwise I'd have got a Solway duck call. Figgy

Double four
Iv had one for a while cracking raspy call a proper custom job not one that uses someone elses internals and masquerades as a custom call maker
mudpatten
Double four, bung us up a clip please mate. I`d love to see one up close and hear it for myself. Thanks.
Double four
Im not much cop at it mudpattern so a good call is quite wasted on me, you would be better viewing a basc video clip theres a bloke on there who blows calls as well as his own trumpet. Ash it's em
Guys the best way to see what there like is try one I got the single reed mallard and it's better than any USA or other calls I've had.well worth the money. Mines red and white as I asked for so if I drop it I'll see it. And like I said it's the raspiest call I've erd In years of calling
roughshooter
Looking back to the beginning of this thread then it was started by a happy customer who was telling other wildfowlers of a great service and product. I have 3 of Eddies calls and have another one on the way. I too am a happy customer and I have not heard of an unhappy one to date! The Wildfowl world is a very small one and bad service gets around very quick. I do not know you Mudpatten but you seem to be a man with axe to grind against someone who is not even the maker (Bob) Let us all acknowledge good calls when we come across them - as I understand MPK calls are good as well PW seems to be a site of contant bickering of late......... whichever bit of the forum you go on Graham
figgy
Why do threads have to degenerate into slanging matches. It's funny to read the first few volleys then it becomes boring and derails the thread getting it locked or removed most times. Not helping the OP or the rest of us who like to read them. I like Solway calls and would gladly buy another due to the one I have being so easy to blow a very good sound out of. Others have said the same. I would also like to hear their duck call being blown but could not find any thing online. Figgy
roughshooter
If I was little more proficient with a call then I would post a video! A chap at my local club who is an excellent call blower tried my Solway Mallard call and I nearly had to fight him to get it back again I will be doing some practice on mine over the next few weeks so you never know
Teal
A number of posts have been removed from this topic, any one with a personal dispute please take it up via PM or email, as the public forum is not the place for it.
Morningflight
Thank you for all of the positive comments on here from my Customers, I didn't join PW to sell calls only to see what was being said as I was told by others to take a look. I have said before that call making in the UK is never going to make anyone a fortune, its a good hobby and a pleasure to get to know fellow fowlers who use whatever make of call to good use. Whatever make or type of call you use this season have a good one and don't shoot to many. Eddie
figgy
Come on then Eddie, now you've outed yourself. Get some clips up of the Duck calls being blown. I may well have one off you. Figgy
figgy
If I was little more proficient with a call then I would post a video! A chap at my local club who is an excellent call blower tried my Solway Mallard call and I nearly had to fight him to get it back again I will be doing some practice on mine over the next few weeks so you never know I know how you feel, I'm cack at it but turned a couple of Greylags with my call today while driving near the marsh. Practising blowing my call driving to work and saw a pair flying opposite way like oncoming traffic, wound down the window couple of calls and they turned behind the car. About thirty yards high, I was over the moon. No way would I put a clip of my call blowing up on here or anywhere else online, I'm not good enough, can just get a basic quack and feed chatter from my double nasty, the hail call I do is terrible. More like go away go away Figgy
Morningflight
Figgy its just practice, contest calling in the US is a completely different game or so I have been told. To call any wildfowl here in the UK it just takes practice and practice. Watch as many you tube clips as you can and have a go. With the duck concentrate on a single quack first using your throat and chest not puffing your cheeks. Like breathing on a mirror to fog it up. As you breath mime the words GHACK or WHACK anythink like that to get the tongue and air going. Turn the call backwards and try doing it without the noise just to practice like clearing your throat. Not easy but it will come. Hope it helps . Eddie
