greeny_2
Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes. How much are people getting for skinned and gutted rabbits? I have been offered an amount but not too sure if it's fair or not! Just thought I would ask..... atb Greeny Edited September 26, 2014 by greeny_2

Bewsher500
£1.50 paunched/coats on £2.50 skinned prepped
greeny_2
£1.00 unskinned £1.75 skinned and gutted Thought it was a bit under average to be fair?
Scully
We get 1.50 head shot/gutted. 50p shotgunned/gutted.
FalconFN
I get £2 for skinned and gutted but I sell them paunched and in fur for £1.50 as the time and effort to bring them from the car and skin them isn't worth the extra 50p. kenj
Last year was getting £2 each, headshot, paunched in fur. Quantities 4 to 10 per butcher. Not too many about where I shoot now, so not sold any lately. Freezer full of rabbit burgers, pasties and pies.
Salop Matt
Right now I cant find anyone to sell them too, so any non mixi I give away but thats only small numbers. If I could sell them or give more away then I would be out shooting more but I dont want to shoot and them go to waste. ATB Matt

ATB Matt Midshires Foods (Bishops Castle) paying £1 for frozen head shot rabbits (in skin, not gutted). State cash on delivery but they will collect for decent numbers ..... but if they collect then pay by BACS and can be slow to pay and be warned, been bust a couple of times so wouldn't give em too much value in one go. Salop Matt
Some times i have 60-80 in a night, I wouldnt travel to them so would be reliant on them coming to me. Cheers Sam

Kes
A local shop in Nantwich is selling gutted skinned rabbits at £3.89 each, obviously headshot. Never sell any personally - just give them away to people who are old enough to appreciate a free meal.
Salop Matt
I would also give mine away free but have no one interested in them. Kes which butchers is that in Nantwich ? as I may buy myself a little freezer again and try to supply them, even if it just coveres my fuel costs it stops bunnys being waisted. daz2202
I take nothing for mine. All get delivered to the local pub. However my beer is often much cheaper than other regulars and on the odd occasion I take my ol Doris out for dinner in their I don't get charged. Swings and roundabouts. I'm happy and they seem happy
spandit
I took 5 in this morning. One was a bit small and shoulder shot (not by me!) so I would have accepted £7 for the lot (4 x £1.50 + £1 for the one just mentioned) but I want to make some rillettes with the ones I have in the freezer so said to the butcher he could pay me in belly pork. A massive slab went on the scales and just before he bagged it up, it read £11! Bargain! Think I'll get paid in sausages or chops next time... There must be a good market for them as I've been taking mine to the same butcher (after your recommendation) and in the last couple of months I've bought 250 16 bore carts on the way home with the money.
