955i
Due to my land having no decent shooting, no-one to go with and lack of time I am starting to think that the guns take up more room than they are worth and I should pack it in. Any advice? Don't want to shoot clays.

mossy835
if i had to give up shooting, i would keep my guns, had guns so long. keep them for a while shame to get rid of them.
FalconFN
You are the only one who will know if you should give up or not, but the fact that you haven't shot for 2 years suggests you don't have the motivation to use them. You get motivated if you enjoy it so maybe you just no longer enjoy whatever type of shooting you did?

955i
I think its the social thing I miss the most. Have land owned by religious types so can't shoot sundays but have my son Saturdays and not willing to give that up. Also have some land up the road but hardly anything flies over

Steppenwolf
How about if you have shotguns you do know that you don't need good reason to own them. I have firearms which I regularly use but my shotguns have stayed in my cabinet for years not usd them much. Maybe you can keep the shotguns in case you change your mind. If you give up and then re-apply for your shotgun license it will take longer to get. Renewal times are not getting better.

Has some history behind it too

michufc
I gave up when I found beer and women at 18 sold everything for next to nothing and regretted it ever since. I got back into it after a family death to sort of keep me on the straight and narrow so to Speak. Well it's five years on now and three spaniels and two kids later I am glad for my shooting although I don't get to go that often it's always there for me. The hardest thing I found was setting back up and the justifying the costs. If the money is not needed just moth ball it for now else you might regret it and I would defiantly take some friendly offers up of shooting with others as it might inject that passion again Regards mike
team tractor
I'm sick of seeing nothing around of late except for a few bunny /fox and I'd love to lamp more but finding a reliable shooting buddy is hard work. I'm sick of people using me then grabbing the perms off me or getting there own land and keeping it to themselves . I'll gladly take you out on the pigeon over Xmas in tamworth if they start on the rape
