sishyplops
Apologies again to the best car thread Best push bike you've ever owned Tough one for me this is I've got two 1974 raleigh choppers, but the best is a 2007 Specialized Stumpjumper reissue, it just looks the muts, bull moose bars, bear trap pedals , Tange frame , biplane forks and two tone ground control tyres. All boxed up as new, ( had it in the lounge for a while till the missus lost the plot with it)!!! Just a thing of beauty Edited December 26, 2014 by sishyplops

fenboy
My best was my red chopper , it put me in a higher class than those poor unfortunates who could only afford a grifter . I modified mine with a couple of lolly pop sticks and some elastic bands
kiffy
apart from junkers as a kid i didnt get back into it until i was almost 30. a couple of bikes later in 2004 i bought a scott high octane freeride, i dont do freeride but am a pie eater and the extra strength of a freeride more than made up for its extra weight and after thrasing the previous bike into the ground failed miserably do do any damage to this one... after a few years i traded up to a marin wolfridge which although ugly was a good bike.. sadly no where near my scott i also rode hard tails and after having my rather expensive nearly new viper xt knicked from my work (while there where ten or more of us there! ) i treated myself to a lovely carbon fibre whyte hard tail but just after buying it the hospital stopped me riding... so i sold it a year and a bit later after doing about two miles... a stunning bike and brilliant quality but it was just hanging in thw workshop loosing money and its sale funded my first gun Edited December 26, 2014 by kiffy
kiffy
worst bike i ever had was a 2000 trek vrx400. a lovely looking bike and capable of anything but a right bucket of poo.. had nothing but trouble with it, bike shop had it back and rebuilt it, trek even had it back and did a full strip and rebuild but it was awfull. parts broke all the time not something that should have happened with a full xt groupset. in a couple of years of ownership i blew two sets of forks... not seals but a ton of hairline cracks in the legs that pumped oil out

kiffy
about 6 or 8 years ago one of our neighbours in work asked if he could dump a couple of old bikes in our steel skip... they where battered and brused but quite old so we kept them, when we moved factories we dug them out of the container we put them in 5 years previous and put them on ebay as they where didnt even wash the much of them and between the pair got £125 one of them was VERY similar to your pic

I modified mine with a couple of lolly pop sticks and some elastic bands I've got a red and a yellow chopper get looks everywhere and you have to be very sociable, they are a pig to ride when you're 14 stone and 6'1 tall , I generally ride one of them to my lads lads Under 10 football league matches and he rides the other ( I make him ride it ! he would rather be on his GT Avalanche 1)

Harnser
Mine was a Daws debonair . I bought it with my paper round money when I was 13 years old . My father signed the finance agreement and I had to give him the 10 shillings a week that I earnt on my paper round . The bike cost £20 and was fortune in those days . I coveted that bike and kept it until I was 17 . Red and black racer with derailer gears and double clanger and narrow tub tyres . Had more girls on the cross bar of that bike than I did with any other bike . Harnser

loriusgarrulus
I had a Raleigh Bulmell Special. I ran errands, washed windows, cleaned cars etc to save for it. Dad gave me the rest of the money for it for my 13th birthday and Christmas that year. It was blue with drop handlebars. I went everywhere on it. Was very sad to see it go when I was 18 and to big to use it any more.

shalfordninja33
This one. A Whyte 29c I raced it up until last year. When child no2 came along I haven't had the time to ride as much as I would like.
Les*1066
A Jim Soens 10 speed racing bike back when I was a teenager. Apart from winning various time trials and races, it also got me from Liverpool to Bognor Regis and back twice when I had enough puff to ride.
