JimLondon
Well mrs London check our lottery ticket this morning and was chuffed that I had 3 numbers,I double checked coz she can be a tad blonde and I actually had 5 numbers, a nice surprise I must say. £1,291 We agreed to treat ourselves and within 5 mins she'd spent her half on a handbag. (I'm not kidding). Anyone else had a lottery win of sorts Jim
100milesaway
We stopped doing it overnight when they doubled the price and then the woman running it doubled her salary. Nice work if you can find the mugs.. from Auntie.

Psyxologos
Last week I won £25. That is the only double figures amount of money I won in the last ten years...
Fuji Shooter
I must say that the sum is low for 5 out of 6 numbers but hey free money and all that. Enjoy it.

RED BEARD
Reckon the most I've won in one go is about £100 . Your spot on about buying into a dream, I have about a fiver a week on the lottery in the hope I'll win a life changing amount..........no luck as yet. I agree with Auntie although we just halved our play as it's a complete liberty to double the price. Years ago close friend and his dad won 350k each as part of a works 4 man syndicate. His dad was and is one of my human hero's for all the people he's helped along the way and despite being a stressed manager in the furniture industry they'd amassed a bit of debt along the way. The win helped them clean the slate and he and his wife opened a mega successful indoor kids play place which they ran for a few years and sold on to provide for a well earned retirement. brett1985
on the few occasions i have played, its always been a lucky dip. i wouldnt be able to live with myself if i had set numbers and forgot to buy a ticket the week that they came up.... a chap i worked with some years ago won some money though, about £250,000 iirc. then 2 weeks later found an identical ticket bought by his wife the same week with the same numbers, that she had forgotten about. they paid out the same again on that ticket. lucky sod. activeviii
A friend of my wife had a nice little win, not a massive amount but enough to help the mortgage and a few holidays. Helped her mum out buy paying a few things off for her. A month later her mum took a big win as well. One thing for sure, it most certainly dose not bring the happiness one would think it would. You loose a lot of, what you thought was good friends, family members think you owe them and every charity that you never knew existed, knocks your door and send you letters. Never go public with it, you will be sorry,

Did I ever tell you about my poorly granny needing specialist medical help only available in Disneyland the States?........

Nice work if you can find the mugs.. from Auntie. Likewise. I also did the calculation to work out that total payout over a draw was actually lower, despite putting the 3-number win up to £25 That said, I still do the Euro syndicate at work, although that is almost more of a collective grumble! I would never go public, I'd hate be recognised for nothing more than being rich.
bobt
when it first started, a guy I work with asked his wife, "what would you do if we won?" she told him she would take half and leave him, he produced a fiver and told her to ****** off, I have met a few lottery winners, they all seem to buy houses in the same two villages, somehow they think they are "better" than they used to be, so the locals take the P. norfolk dumpling
We have a couple of 'Euro millions' each week - its nice to dream of that little farm abounding with game, the lovely old english gun and the classic Landrover. Wife's dream is slightly different although she does talk of a Scottish island so we might meet somewhere in the middle if the numbers come up. aris
Won £120 on the euro - spent it in more lottery tickets:) If I did win big, I'd certainly not go public. In fact I'd tell nobody at all. I would hate for friendships or people's perceptions to change just because of money.

loriusgarrulus
Little farm with few fields a woodland and stream and a few ponds. Nice Defender 90. Go shooting by walking out the door and walk the dogs on my own land and not have to worry about other folks dogs. Bliss.
