Glenshooter
....., but a terribly obnoxious package - to my mind anyway. ........ he is no brilliant mind and inspirational thinker. Excellent points, IMHO. I'd just say he's a ****.
grrclark
Good post (although I had to look up 'meretricious' before replying) and put so much better than I could have. It is a great word, Pothunter said the same to me about a post of mine, the dirty rat!! Excellent points, IMHO. I'd just say he's a ****. So would I, but I try to be a good PW citizen and avoid getting put on the naughty step.
Gordon R
I have never found him even slightly funny. However, he seems to have created the illusion that he is quite bright. I confess to not seeing any trace of that aspect either. I just find him a smarmy hypocrite with a big mouth.

jimmydean
Since its north versus south season, I think he's a big girl's blouse - for those unfortunate enough to be classed a southern, that means he's not the 'bees knees'.

You may think he's a big girl's blouse but the people of Essex (his birthplace) think he's a total ****. I didn't realise you northerners were so polite. In truth Brand doesn't think any of those things, he is one of the very few people I have seen who seeks out and speaks to better informed people than himself and is on record as saying he doesn't know the answer to most of what is wrong with our world. Ultimately that is the crux of it, you either accept there is a lot wrong out there that needs addressing or you just carry on as before and mock anyone who dares speak out. keg
Love it when he stands around with his unwashed hair moaning about the rich etc... then after a hard mornings protesting goes back to his exceedingly nice London townhouse... +1 but you can bet he doesn't see that at all. Champagne Socialist. I have no problem with socialists, I've just never met a genuine one.

There's always been a lot wrong out there - dinosaurs, vikings etc etc etc. He is a headline grabber and thats why he was stupid enough to get involved in the sickening abuse of 'Manuel's' daughter. ack-ack
As much as i've tried, i cant being myself to hate him. He is a proper plum, but ultimately he's hilarious and harmless. Same with Mozz, cant bear what he stands for but he says it with such conviction i am completely seduced by his weird ways. That is power! RossEM
No surprise, really. He has some views which are not typical of people in the media spotlight - in fact, he's brave in that most of his peers dare not utter a political word for fear of hurting their careers. He speaks idealogically, which politicians don't do anymore. He stands out, therefore he's taken notice of.

He's a national treasure. Same as Docherty, a beautiful English mess.
