krugerandsmith
Your total ignorance astounds me...you shouldn't be allowed to post such bilious and acrimonious drivel... You and Farage are well matched and I hope you will be very happy together. Mike be honest ...... You would vote for a Donkey .... if it had a blue rosette on it. matone
I had breakfast this morning with my local lib dem parliamentary candidate. I have a group of 16 business owners, we meet regularly for breakfast and this year I have invited along all our local candidates to meet us. I've never had a meeting before where a candidate just blatantly disagreed with the views of the group. She wasnt open to feedback at all. At one point she said "we would end up with a bunch of racists and get what we deserved" when asked about immigration, overcrowding and wage deflation. I asked a question about to the cuts to disabled benefits. She agreed they were wrong but wouldnt be doing anything to re-instate what has already been taken away. I'll be voting for Nigel. You`ve got to remember politicians know what is good for us! Don`t they ?????
scolopax
What will happen to UKIP if Nigel Farage fails to get elected ? Would he still be able to lead his party if as predicted they get a handful of parliamentary seats and if for example they become part of a coallition or alliance?? keg
It will certainly be interesting bearing in mind that the only seats they have got so far is from the swappers where the locals voted for the man....... This was interesting:- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3025874/Nigel-Farage-buries-loser-poll-Ukip-leader-covers-survey-spelling-humiliating-defeat-Tories-Thanet-seat.html

poontang
cant believe folk would vote UKIP......... Why? Have a look at who governs Canada at the moment, and more importantly the history of the party (The Conservative Party of Canada). There are direct parallels with the Tories and UKIP in this country. Change CAN come about...but not if people are too scared to vote for it.
MrM
Do people really want our governments to rigidly adhere to exactly what they say now for the next five years irrespective of what happens to the World economy? How many of us don't change our spending habits depending on our current circumstances, not those based on what was happening 3 or 4 years ago? Fisherman Mike
The populace will decide...fortunately the views of PW members represent only 0.058 % of the voting public.

compo90
cant believe folk would vote UKIP......... Can't believe folk wouldn't! Someone levelled the accusation at fisherman mike, he would vote for a donkey if it wore a blue ribbon, that's the problem, my dad and grandad both vote labour because they always have done...... In my opinion labour doesn't represent what either of them want these days but like fisherman mikes donkey in a blue ribbon, that's who they will vote for as that's what they have indoctrinated themselves to be.......... A comparison was made saying you can't expect political parties to do all they promise as things change when in power, and the example was what you buy changes if your income changes, a good comparison but I actually want some changes. Ukip offers changes, labour, tories and even lib damps are all fighting for the middle ground, look at how their policies change to try and win ukip voters, millibored saying on the debate they got immigration wrong! Nige will do what he says, it started as a single issue party, get out of the eu, so if he was pm that would be a done thing, but the rest of the policies have grown around that ideology, we are a small but relatively well off country, we have ties with the former commonwealth, and a lot of our problems are as a result of uncontrolled immigration from the now larger eu. (Including eastern europe and former soviet block countries) As I said and also did nige, a points system on entry wouldn't stop the immigrants we need, the doctor and his family we need, the specialist nurse from africa that labour roll out when this issue is brought up...... It wouldn't stop our commonwealth friends of all shades coming here...... It would increase jobs, it would force up pay and it would make the country richer! Vote ukip or accept the same old sh ite you have always accepted, you really couldn't get a sheet of paper between labour and the tories on their stance on most major issues

Anyway I haven't actually decided who to vote for yet...The Conservatives are putting this country back on its feet without doubt nobody can deny that ( well they can but they would be wrong) I'm looking at the bigger picture for my kids and theirs and theirs and the World has to fundamentally change if we are to survive even the next 100 years... How can a party with black and asian candidates (ukip) be compared to a racist party (bnp)? Please explain that as the ukip rep who spoke to me and got my vote was a ugandan born asian immigrant! Please don't just make such claims as they aren't true and nigel has said its about making a better britain for all our kids black and white! When we were signed into the eu it was proper european countries, mostly westernised, mostly prosperous but with different strengths. The current eu is a lot wider and now with the free movement of people a lot worse for us here. On the leaders debate they said about free movement and brits going abroad, it would be interesting to interview thos brits and ask their reasons for leaving? I already know a lot of the answers but are we being honest enough to acknowledge, they have done the rat comparison to a sinking ship!
