tonker
Is anyone or has anyone had trouble with these Bullets? I bought some today to try, Winchester and Eley were fine in my old Brno today. I only tried eight the first was fine, second made loud crack in breach end and then smoke and **** came out past the bolt. 3&4 were ok, then all the rest went off like the first, with the last one being the worst for gases getting back to my eyes and noise. (like high velocity going off). At this point I thought I'd give it best and stop. Anyone got any ideas or is it a bum lot. Cases came out scorched and discoloured all up one side of the outside . Mossyoak77
they are the most incosistent type of ammo both their target 22lr rounds golden bullets and their subs every round sounds different and like you say the cases have scorch marks on found them to not work in any .22 rifle I've had, their high velocity h/p cyclone's are just the same as the fmj's and subs. Mossyoak77
However their centrefire ammunition from what I know is decent both target and expanding strange that, Think quality control's gone out of the window at Rem. factory, dont know if its due to the panic buying of .22rf ammo over in the US
tonker
Mossyoak77, do you think that would explain all the rubbish coming back past the bolt?, if so, lesson learnt . never buy .22 rem rimfire again
Davyo
Never use anything else, only has one dodgy box, scrapped it after 15 or so shots going way off but never had any bother since and I use a lot. They where 40gr but started using the new 42gr & no bother. welshwarrior
Get some going noisey but nothing else accurate and hit hard from my 22s just getting to the end of my first 2,500 oh and they are cheap £6 per 100.
Savhmr
Just bought a large batch of Remmy subs so will report back when I try them out , but their HMR ammo seems very batch dependant. As above, QC seems to be going out the window, at least where HMR is concerned (different topic|). I swear by Eley or RWS subs for .22 usually but we'll see what the Remmy stuff shoots like. bruno22rf
Absolutely abysmal quality wise-bought a couple of boxes 3-4 years ago and never again-guys at Northampton gun co tested 20 for me and confirmed that they were faulty but the dealer I bought them from assured me they were fine after testing another 20 (didn't mention I had already had them tested)-no need to risk buying carp bullets when you can buy RWS or Eley. Underdog
Never had any joy my self from them. In the 80's the yellow jacket was good but that was then. The leaking breach pressure is a sign of delayed ignition of the powder. The primer is knocking powder and bullet out the case, it stops and then the powder burns however the case has not sealed the chamber by expanding normally. team tractor
They are the dirtiest round I've ever bought but I've got lots and still buy them. Accuracy wise in my Brno I can't complain but I'm moving over to eley
Dekers
There subs are not clever, cheap in every way. I historically used their High Velocity Yellow Jacket HP and it proved very reliable and effective in my CZ.
Rst1990
I've had rem subs and hv and both proved to be a waste of money, I gave them back to my rfd. The subs cases when removed from the breach was also scorched one side like yours that was 3 years ago and have never gone back.
Underdog
They should talk to CCI. Get them knock something together for them! Priming small rim fire cases is a fiddle. Remington's plant has struggled for a while!
kennett
Horrible bullets, same here used to get pop pop pop CRACK!!!!!!! With burnt case mouth and smoke. Some bullets also seem very loose
Harnser
Probably the worst .22 rim fire cartridge out there . From my experience of them they are loud and inconsistent . Try RWS , a fabulous round . Harnser
