Dougy
See how long it takes that to get a lead pill. "It's rare let's publish the location" Edited September 26, 2015 by Dougy
fortune
Talk about a load of sensational drivel. I've never seen a totally black one but I've seen some that were fairly heavily flecked >> ( sort of black highlights). We used to see a fair amount of rabbits with black fur. total drivel>> Quote >> The black fox is so rare, conservationists believe there are only a few left in Britain. The animals are in fact the same species as the red fox. They are the same species but there are only a few black ones left in Britain due to them being hunted of extinction! Nonsense. In Medieval times, the animals were seen as a sign of bad luck, and a sighting would spread fear through a village community. They were also prized for their fur and were widely hunted – one of the reasons they are so scarce today. "I'm so feared of the black fox that I will get the fur from it and make myself a black fur coat out of it. The whole article is just made out of a load of statements that immediately contradict the previous one. Underdog
I shot a very black one at night many years ago. It was a night mare aiming at it!

kent
Yes in the times this week! To be fair black occurs in most birds and aninimsls now and again as does white The thing is for a fox is its harder to survive to breeding age lacking the ability to blend in its a hunting handicap and a getting hunted one

FalconFN
Black red Gray all the same Vermin only good one is a dead oneI'm sorry, but I cannot agree with this sort of statement. This really helps no one and is a pretty poor way to depict gun owners. I know I may sound pompous but vermin or not, foxes are a part of our ecosystems, heritage and countryside. Their populations need to be controlled but not they don't need to be exterminated.

Totally agree, It would be a very sad day the last Fox is shot, but then I suppose for some it would make a good trophy for the hallway. "The last fox ever in the uk. Shot by **** "
chris1961
In the last three years I've had my chucks slaughtered by them taking the odd one I would have not been to bothered but to chew thru 1 inch thick door and kill them all and only take one gets my back up to me they are vermin and should be treated so sorry if my opinion offends
chris1961
After years of breeding rare breed chickens to have them slaughtered by a Fox not once but twice you can understand my hatred for them I'm sorry if I offended anyone but my opinion on them will not change no matter what
Dougy
Chris I am not offended at all, and having seen myself 300 chickens (2 sheds 150 in each) slaughtered in 1 night I understand your feelings. But as a group of people (shooters) its about a control of vermin or pest, hence "pest control" it not total anialation and destruction of a species because it chooses to do what it does naturally and we as humans sometimes make it simpler for mr fox to exceed his normal kill number by creating a nice larder full of food. big bad lindz
A new movie soon to be released. Black Fox Down staring basil the lesser spotted fox who has to spend hours in the make up room before filming starts and the sales of the new hair die have gone through the roof, spray on and "brush" in for that natural dark look. Just for red!
