NAME THEM stop some other poor sodd traveling to see a fictitious rifle in the vain hope they will buy some other gun hate people like them scum of the earth

They have been named several times on this thread and each time the posts have been deleted by a moderator. To be honest I am not sure why because other shops have been named at other times on other threads and other than mentioning their name I don't think anything else was said

The advert was posted as well and that was taken down, I thought the whole purpose of a forum like this would be to share information but actually the level of censorship here is quite high.

It's happened twice to me with the same shop!!!

Phoned up when I moved house asking for a 5 rifle cabinet, they told me they had one in stock... Drove the 30 mins to the shop no cabinet!!!

Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt as we all make mistakes, next time I needed a red filter for my light force lamp, called them up asked if they had one in stock they said they did, I told them of my last visit and the lad said " I've got it in my hand" so 30 mins later I'm in the shop, guess what-no filter!!!! I complained bitterly to the shop owner and just got a daft comment from him!!!! I've never been back!!!

Must admit to being very disappointed that the name of this company was posted and removed several times-if the point of a forming a group of like minded people is not for the benefit of them all then why bother?-it must be written somewhere that the opinions on this site are simply those of the poster and not the forum owner so where's the conflict? If I had travelled to see the gun in question and found that it did not exist then I would be annoyed but if I later found out that many of my fellow forum members already knew but were not allowed to say then I would be right ****** off . So why has the Company name been protected?

Totally agree Bruno. I would suggest the mods are frightened of any potential repocusions.

If we had a bad meal at KFC or purchased a duff car from Bristol Street would they delete the post?

Providing the op tells the truth I don't see he problem and the dealer could come on here and put their side of the story online if they wish.

Maybe Fieldsports Britain could do a little investigative journalism into the subject.

Can someone pm me the shop details please?

Gun trader is used as a stock list for shops as well as an advertising tool. Not great if your showing a gun on stock if it's sold, surely messes up stock take and also if they get an inspection.

As for leaving adverts up its always happened and always will. Like someone has already said its a cheaper way of advertising more products, especially something as popular and common as a 10/22.

As for name and shame it's a tricky one for PW as Gun Watch is part of the same and also competition to Gun Trader. The worst way to sell your product is to slate someone else's!

Also made me smile when so many people say why is the advert still up someone needs to report it but they do nothing about it themself!

Anyway that's just my opinion! But yes it's a pain in the backside!!!

Just a thought if the serial number on the gun was on the advert or visible in the photos you could take that to trading standards and they could x reference that with the police records. If it shows that it was owned by someone else when they were advertising it then they haven't a leg to stand on.

All it takes is an email.

I recently bought a used Beretta 692 from a well known dealer/shooting ground. Both on the trial at the shop and over the weekend it proved to have an intermittent ejector problem. Took the gun back and changed it for my current Guerini, which they were very helpful with. I was slightly perturbed, however, to see the Beretta back on Guntrader the same afternoon at the same price!
