Mufflicated!

What a week end, chores, grandchild, thought I would never get out! :unhappy:

Two hours of light left I grabbed muff, old Tia and Jess.

We waited for roosting pigeon but none came in. It was good for Jess all the same to just hang around and wait. She sniffed about where rabbit had been.

With light fading fast I decided to let my old spaniel work some hedges for rabbit and she bolted plenty.

I shot one but it was wounded, little Jess found it first and she was straight on it, shaking it violently.

The next shot was a bolter 35yards plus and to my joy Jess emerged from the hedge to check on the shot and then responded to my pointing and again was straight on the rabbit!

Next Tia bolted a rabbit in front of Jess and Jess was instantly on it and her speed is good but being young just followed it across the field 20yds back but it was a good sign of things to come!

A rain storm caught us on the way back but it did not matter I was chuffed as punch and the dogs too :yahoo:

Fried rabbit coming up :good:

Better with a bit of neoprene stuck on where the fore end should be once the weather turns cold to keep cold metal away from your fingers.

Good point! Where do I get some?

Spot on mate..... I can't have a dog.... However I have a two year old son! Give him a year or so and he'll flush them just fine😁

They are good, I have my eye on our granddaughter ;-)

I swear that springer is smiling for the camera - what a poser lol.

Tia the sprocker is a poser for camera.

We were on holiday many years ago.

My wife sat on a rock on a beach so I could photograph her. When that was done Tia jumped on the rock and would not get off it. I realised she wanted her picture taken. I did take her picture then she got off the rock and went swimming again!

Ha ha oops - you can tell I'm not a dog man. Thanks for correcting me so nicely.
