Daveo26
Right gents after years of use my battery pack for my lamp has stopped charging. It's the old sealed lead type. So I need to buy something either a new battery or a whole new lamp. Iv been shown a hand held rechargeable led lamp no separate battery! But I wasn't keen on the tight beam it seemed to spook bunnies. But I like the idea. Can any one suggest a good lamp? Sounds daft but I don't need something super bright, and I like using a red filter. Anyone suggest owt? Cheers

steve_b_wales
Get yourself one of the rechargeable ones if possible. Saves messing with leads etc.

pat g
+1 on the NM800. Pricey but well worth it imo. I was in the same boat as you. Looking for a scope mountable light as was sick of heaving a lead acid battery pack and leads around. Best thing i ever did getting the NM800. Go for the dimable version though ATB, Pat

Harry Callahan
The likes of the T20 or T67 or whatever are all fairly small torches with huge range. Can be mounted to scope - or hand held. Best thing is you can keep several spare batteries in your pocket... and when your not using the torch, itl fit in a pocket too! LED lights and Li-ion batteries are deffo the way to go, no matter what you buy.
winnie&bezza
Aldi are doing 1million power hand held lamps for £9.99 :-)
Colster
I prefer halogen over led especially if you want to use a filter. I bought one of these years ago for use in the 4x4 and never let me down http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/201427142722
Harry Callahan
Dont use a filter with LED. Buy the different colour pills.
Davyo
Led all the way,my NM800 will throw a better light than my( now gone) Lightforce 170,even the T67 will.Cant understand why people even bother with these big lamps anymore. We even use T67, cut down mounted on the cab roof running of 12v. tiny tim
Clulite plr500 is a really good hand held lamp , as good as a lightforce
teza
I have a t67 two batteries but mighty lights on ebay do a single battery t67 and they thro the same beam as the twin battery great light very long beam and can open the beam so its not as bright. teza
foxshooter69
I've recently bought the Tracer led sport 150, comes with a red filter for less than £50. I opted for the 12v plug in type rather than the rechargeable as I've recently bought a new battery pack. The lamp has a good tight spot however there is some out glare when used without the filter. Daveo26
I was given a demo of the mighty T67 the other night. In both white and green, the green was like a giant laser beam. Very impressive I might just order one. Cheers chaps
