belly47 Posted January 7, 2016 Report Share Posted January 7, 2016 I spent yesterday afternoon in the hide after a phone call saying pigeons were on one the rape fields where I shoot. waste of time and only shot one pigeon and only saw 3 in total ! this afternoon I popped over to a small copse to try and roost shoot a few. the strong wind made it quite tricky but I have 5 for the freezer and couldn't find a few in the bushes. not much of a report really but it's still my best day of the year so far Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Got a morning on the pheasants on Saturday and a pigeon roost shoot in the afternoon. Force 7 southerly forecast as the sun goes down , so should be worthwhile. I've got a rape field/swimming pool that has a good few visiting but I'm not too thrilled at the thought of lugging myself and the gear through a bottomless swamp to get at them.
