amateur
That's a 1275 A series, most likely bored to even more, and well modified by the looks of it. From my days playing with the I can confirm that is a Cooper S cylinder head [anorak] The rest isn't that subtle but still well executed, the Stack dashboard and lowered suspension etc I hope that they uprated the brakes as well, because the standard drums could barely cope with the awesome power of the 948cc engine

I get through my cars pretty quick but this is a practical classic and a keeper - it drives like all Mercs of the era (like a nice pair of slippers), it's got ABS, power steering, electric windows, cruise etc (all the mod cons we now take for granted) and it's built like grandpa's tool shed. I'm looking at a well priced RR Shadow II this Saturday but the on account tax payment due this month has probably just put the kybosh on that nonsense Like that Mungler, very nice indeed! RedRobin
Cheers Chaps... This is what amazes me with PW. Brilliant , interesting relies to a Question. I'd be forever quoting everyone's reply... I've been after a decent White MGB GT for over the last 6years, Last week I was offered a 1969 MGB GT. White , one owner from new with a massive documented history. Genuine 38000. Miles £4500. Looks as good as I've typed. The original owner didn't bother with the optional white wheels, so running rostyles . only option they selected was the 3 speed auto box, which now is quite rare Needs rear shocks and leaf springs etc renewing. Rostyles I hate... £490 for repro minilites with tyres. Carpet set needed to tidy interior. Better than £4500 in an ISA Opinions please
