Underdog
A pricked squirrel run down the tree to try and escape and ended up scrapping with Jess! It put a good fight up and Jess got stuck in too. She got bitten a couple of times but she is learning! I shot the other as it tried to escape the opposite way. U. Rimfireboy
Well done U. I always give them a prod with the barrel before picking them up, just to make sure. Proper tough little fellas with plenty of fight in 'em...
Mentalmac
Well done U. I always give them a prod with the barrel before picking them up, just to make sure. Proper tough little fellas with plenty of fight in 'em... I learnt this the hard way too - picked a 'dead' one up by the tail and it turned and tried to bite my wrist - then there was me jumping around like a girl squealing away like a right wimp. sitsinhedges
Squirrels have teeth like daggers, I would be concerned about the dog getting bit and becoming hard mouthed as a result.
