tikka6mmbr
1987 Landrover 90 in good condition. Daihatsu 2.8 Turbo engine, had timing belt done nearly 3 years ago, serviced ever year . Classic car insurance , £160 fully comp. Had it 3 years , I looked for ages to find the right one as there was/is a lot of rubbish for sale out there . Anyway selling because I am buying a house and it needs rewiring, so my baby has to go . Also I have given up the deer stalking on a local estate that this vehicle was used for . No off roading just A to B across fields and woodland tracks. I think this has been rebuilt at some point in its life , with some love and attention, and I have kept that love and maintenance up . It's had a recent new turbo as the old one was worn and leaked oil . MOT till mid December 2016 , No advisories. It will need new tyres at some point. Very clean and tidy 29 year old landrover, mileage on body and chassis is 118,967 . £5200 ONO

Scully
It is indeed a nice vehicle. It's a shame you have to sell as I believe you may eventually regret it. The only reason I would sell mine would be to buy another.
tikka6mmbr
Yes regretting it All ready but need those funds as we are in tied cottage job/acomadation so will need that roof over our heads with working electricity 😀
fallowbuck
There's so much character in a Landy. Unlike the Jap vehicles ,who are as about as interesting as a Dental clinic!
Scully
Yes regretting it All ready but need those funds as we are in tied cottage job/acomadation so will need that roof over our heads with working electricity That's fair enough; we all have to prioritise at times. I doubt you'll struggle to sell it; I've been offered more than I paid for mine and just last week on getting out of it a bloke stopped in his vehicle, wound down his window and asked me how much I wanted for it. Good luck with the sale. Edited March 12, 2016 by Scully
tikka6mmbr
Yes I agree, but if I had the choice I would still have the engine that's in her than a 200/300 tdi
rodp
It was a well respected engine conversion at the time, one of the better ones. Fit's in nicely, looks the part and above all doesn't wreck the rest of the motor. Reliable and powerful enough
B391
DON'T SELL........ That is one fine looking 90. Regretted selling mine and still hanker after my Defender or another one. Just can't justify one at the moment though.
tikka6mmbr
(DONT SELL) 😀😀 I know when it goes I will have to buy a very cheep car as a second run about and what ever I get I KNOW I won't be happy with , but it's got to go or else I will have to sell my guns (and that isn't happening 😀) Thanks Scully 👍
B391
Conundrum - Guns, 90 or wiring! I'd be temped to buy candles and a gaz camp fire! I feel your pain, been there a few times myself when having to sacrifice something. I had to stop shooting years ago due to job, family, no spare time and funds. only started again 2 years ago. Fuji Shooter
Don't do it. I guarantee in a months time you will be out looking for another one at 6K+ that is half as good. It is better than money in the bank at the moment.
tikka6mmbr
I know lads that I should keep it but I need the security of a permanent roof over me and my family's heads , hope it goes to someone who will look after it not rag it to death off roading
triumphant59
If you sell that you will regret it for the rest of your life, guaranteed! I sold my Triumph TR6 in 2007 for £4K to fund home improvements. Now that car would be worth £10k! And I could have had a tesco loan for virtually nothing. Your land rover will be the same. Don't sell it, trust me!

Remimax
tell the electrician he can supply his own red carpet and keep the landy. there again looking at your location you may need to sell it and a spare organ . tikka6mmbr
Ha ha , no the house were buying for when our tied cottage job comes to an end is in County Durham so the funds from the Landy should hopefully cover the rewire costs
