Squirrel73
Thinking of buying the franchi affinity over the winchester sx3. The fact that it's basically a cheaper benelli and should be less hassle to clean attracts me to it. Does anyone on here have one and if so what's the verdict? figgy
Do a search this was done to death not long ago. Seven year warranty and all positive comments if iirc. I like my M2 but you can't argue with the price of the Franchi half the price of a Benelli.

johnphilip
I had one, a lovely gun comes to the shoulder great, only problem i had was it shot a bit to high for me. Even changing the shims on the stock. There is a bit about it on the internet about that problem. In the end i made my own shim, and it sorted the problem. Easy to clean. I wish i had never not rid of it.
Ian North Wales
I have ordered one (still waiting for it!), I've done a fair bit of research and i think its the best semi auto for me at this price point, as Figgy said 7 year warranty and a benelli in disguise. I seen it at the last CLA game fair and found that it just felt right in the hands.
Stimo22
I purchased one last year to shoot duck with steel shot, I ran a few hundred cartridges through it at clays and it was faultless. It is well made and quite light and I think it was good value for the money

Squirrel73
Hi,thanks for the heads up on that one but I'm going to buy new.
Andra
Picked mine up in LH on Sunday there, not shot with it yet but it looks good and feels nice to shoulder. If you buy new you get the 7 yr warranty the manual advises this is not transferable.
Guest cookoff013
keep the rails lubricated..... check the youtube for cleaning and propper lube of benellis, you will find it invaluable. i use a automobile engine oil, for the rails and the rotary head, spring etc.... i had stoppages with 21g loads, 21g loads at 900fps. after that 24g int. run very well. (benelli montefeltro.)
Andra
Will take a look at those youtube vids thanks. Do you use a synthetic mix of engine oil? To the OP: If you are new to autos like me and end up buying one there is also a youtube vid for assembly too I think autos all have there quirks in terms of putting together and the guys in the shops dont always know how to etc :whistling: . If memory serves me right the Franchi manual also says min 28g carts thats as low as I tend to go for anything Been pratice mounting and think I might have to put the shim in to raise the stock a little but will try shooting some targets or getting access to a pattern plate first before altering. Ollieollie
SX3 is a super gun
johnnytheboy
Automatic transmission fluid is better than engine oil, fully synthetic it is almost a custom designed gun oil! Sx3 is a great gun, I'd pick both of them up and see how they feel before making the choice!
