JD140
Well today I popped over to a local dealer and handled a few semi autos. The assistant was suggesting a Benelli Black Eagle, it was nice as was the Browning Maxus but I much preferred the A400 Xtreme Unico. It just came up so well, I liked the weight and balance of it, plus it came with stock extensions in the case, unlike the Benelli at £80 a throw. So it looks like eventually my minds made up, all I need to do now is find a good used 28" (in black) or a really cracking deal on a new one, although I think the cash price I've been offered today will take some beating. I would like to thank all the members who have taken the time and effort to respond. Thank you all! +1 for Browning Maxus I have a synthetic version, spacers easily give you 15 inch LOP, I have long arms and need the same LOP.3.5 inch chambers with 30 inch barrel I use for geese, ducks, pigeons and occasionally clays. It is light, pointable and very durable.Cycles any loads 28g and above without any issues, may cycle lighter loads but not tried them.Taking it to Orkney next week on the geese, use it last year with 50g number 2s, devastating! B25Modelman
It appears they (GMK) do not market a walnut finished model. Edited November 12, 2016 by B25Modelman

figgy
Dont let the butt pad price on the Benelli put you off there are other pads made to fit them. If you like the unico and its a deal your happy with go and buy it, best time to pick a mushroom is when you first see it. By the time you look about that gun thats a good deal may be gone. Fuji Shooter
I walked into our local gun shop for some carts a few weeks back and walked out with a brand new Green ATA Neo for £480. Not sure why I bought it as I already have a cabinet full of semis but boy does it shoot well for an inertia driven gun.

Fuji Shooter
ATA, another company owned by Beretta. Yes I believe they were making the Semi Auto barrels for Beretta. Really is well screwed together for the money and the inertia system is excellent.

And of course Beretta also own Benelli.
figgy
Just had a look on the ATA website at the Neo semi auto it looks just like a Benelli m2 essential same rotating bolt head and block. Dont think the differences will be that much between them. The SP over and under is a Beretta action with a dropout trigger group, win win. They look a cracking gun. Fuji Shooter
They do look a good deal, Neo also has similarities to the Benelli Creo. My local shop had a few in. I was going to buy one off the rack when he told me he had some just come back from a show but still unfired and they were a £100 cheaper with the same warranty. I don' think he is too clever or much of a salesman but hey at the price.

Stimo22
Treated myself to a Franchi affinity which has so far proved excellent, this came with seven years warranty and is made in the Benelli factory. It is a recoil operated auto but is very well made have run several hundred shells through it and is faultless
JD140
Well I've finally pulled the pin and ordered a new A400 Xtreme, which should arrive in the next few days. Can anyone tell me how best to store an auto, assembled in the cabinet or broken down in its case?
