wymberley
Have you noted who's selling it? You can be certain of its condition. It is, of course, just up the road from me - I was there last week.
shaun4860
It says POA, so what are they asking? It's got good history
Walker570
If you think it will have you shooting like Miss Kerwood, then dream on . I am always wary of dealing with anyone who puts poa on the listing ... like they're either looking to see if your a sucker or have something to hide. I'm 57, therefore I do realise that not even Digweeds guns would get me shooting like Charlotte The fact it belonged to a top shot is by the by; I just simply really like the gun. fortune
As said above, DESCRIPTION This gun was used by Charlotte Kerwood in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006 when she won Gold in the Ladies Double Trap and broke the Commonwealth Games record. She also won Gold in the Ladies Pairs Double Trap using it. I'd be more concerned about how many zillion carts have gone through the gun for it to be put up for sale. Surely if that gun Was that good and fitted like a pair of old carpet slippers and you had won x gold medals with it would you want to part with it through a gundealer? Scully
This is mine: But that lovely wood is flawed and it currently has a very fine crack through the grip.

It may well be a commission sale by a local dealer who is very well known in trap shooting community, also I'm not sure if charlotte is being sponsored to shoot a different gun these days?Perazzi springs to mind. Surprised she would sell a medal winning gun but she has still got the medals and may not be as sentimental as most..... and it may not be her selling it may have been given or sold previously. BlaserF3
I have a Daytona 2K sporter not a bad gun to shoot, most of the "old" Gamba shooters have moved onto a Perazzi. Erwin who works for Alan Rhone told me that "With age should come wisdom" when I told him that I had bought one. Long established Italian maker similar to perazzi in design drop out trigger on some models just not so common in the U.K.
Walker570
This is mine: But that lovely wood is flawed and it currently has a very fine crack through the grip. With care and expertise you can pin that stock without it showing I believe. I did one myself many moons ago, used wood dowels not screws. I put glue in the dead end holes and had someone just stress the crack a bit then pushed a dowel in and the glue was forced up the crack, then glued the dowels in place and carefully trimmed them off. I did point them out to the guy buying it from me years later because he had not noticed it. It had a lot of shells through it and never moved. Sounds like a trip to Somerset is in order there or Essevierre's factory in Val Trompia, near Brescia. Wilts#Dave
What's with the lack of chequering on the pistol grip, makes it look very odd to me but it's not my cup of tea in any case I guess. Can't stand the whole 'poa' thing on adverts, does the price vary depending who you you are or something?
grrclark
If it makes you smile and the purchase price is right for you, after all who cares about what others think, then fill your boots and be a happy man

Can't stand the whole 'poa' thing on adverts, does the price vary depending who you you are or something? perhaps it is me just being a cynical old fellow but >>> I hadn't even noticed the lack of checkering. Perhaps it covers up a blooming great big crack split through the hand that's been glued up and showed up and felt like a sore thumb in the checkering. (Perhaps if it was cracked in through the checkering the pattern didn't knit or match up) Why would anyone remove the checkering? Would anyone who had got to that level and won those medals have all of the checkering removed You wouldnt know what it was going to feel and balance like until it was done and would you do that to a gun like this? S/h ??Mark gun.PS snooker players get a feel for a cue and if the tip gets damaged it throws their game. It could be the same for a gun of this sort of competition level. grrclark
You're correct of course, but I may just have to get my priorities right at the moment. 😊 Yeah I get that, priorities really do suck at times and temptation always seem to be greater when the circumstance or timing is wrong. You've a good head on your shoulders though and that makes a hell of a difference when it comes to making the right choices 😊
