wymberley
You could do worse than pop into UK Gun Repairs. Out in the sticks but very easy to find.

sportsbob
I have always had a fair price from Avalon and, all the guns I have bought from there were new and the for ones I ordered in they were the cheapest in the country. Rifleman firearms are average on there prices I bought an Affinity from them for £15 more then the cheapest I could find but a lot cheaper than some others. UK Gun repairs in Ninehead have a small selection because they are mainly a smith to the trade so might be worth a call if there is something specific you are looking for..The price you pay reflects amongst other things availability and ease of purchase, for example buy a gun from 200 miles away pay lots for RFD transfers and then if things go wrong the price continues to increase. You're somewhat dated. UK Gun Repairs have moved to a new location. Now, in addition to the workshop, they have quite a tasteful gun room and pretty good ammo locker. sportsbob
I stand corrected re UK gun repairs. I bought an Armsan 612 from them about two years ago but have had no need to revisit since, thanks for the info though as it might just have saved me a journey. I agree with that. I purchased a new Winchester SX3 from Avolon. Cheapest price in the country.

You'll be lucky to get more than 2 hours I would of thought. The river brue is excellent fishing and available on day ticket. I'll be honest and say it's a good old trek to minehead direction from burnham
roostshooter1
Lucky to get 2 hours? What makes you say that As for gun shops i only use avalon for shotguns and i use ivythorn for all my rifles Steve at ivythorn has more knowledge of guns than the lads in avalon but i get good prices and service from both I dont find ivythorn expensive for guns and he will price match
Flyboy1950
I tend to use Newavon Arms at Pill. Reasonable prices and a good supply of ammo, reloading stuff etc. Just 10 mins from the motorway Junction 19 of the M5 over the Bristol Bridge as you are heading South. https://www.newavon-arms.co.uk/
