saddler
A great actor & character in real life... Amazing knowledge of & interest in traditional long bows. Was consulted by the Mary Rose team & provided a lot of invaluable knowledge/input. Straight arrows.....!

Scully
Yep. A nice fellah from all accounts, and a wealth of knowledge for longbows. He had a good innings and lived it well. A great shame.
Vince Green
He died at Denville Hall, that's just up the road from me, I actually drove past it today. Its a care home for retired actors

four-wheel-drive
One of my all time favourites. RIP Siegfried. Have to agree with that I did not think that he was that old 91 always used to make me laugh when he was playing Siegfried do what I say not what I do.
Nial
I was a bit scunnered when they said on the radio "the older generation will remember him as Siegfried Farnon". I mean, I'm nearly 50 but...... I've got his longbow book, very interesting and he had lots of practical experience making them. Used to sometimes see "James Herriott" at the football matches as he was a Sunderland supporter & regularly attended the games at Roker Park...
