steve_b_wales
A mate of mine wants to buy an air pistol for his 6 year old boy, to use in his back garden He wants a CO2 powered one. I've read that the Gamo PT-85 is supposed to be good. Does anyone own one or have views on it?
eddoakley
Been selling a lot of victory cp2''s lately. Not had any negative feedback. Possibly an option? Being able to add the stock and even an extra barrel does make it very useful. Pm me if you want to come and try one. Edd

saddler
Not legal to buy an airgun for a 6 year old
steve_b_wales
Not legal to buy an airgun for a 6 year old Correct. He's buying it for his own use, but his son will have a go under his strict supervision. He intends to eventually get his son an air rifle and progress him 'up the ladder' to bigger and better as he get's older.
gemini52
The gamo pistol you mention is a blow back,i had one and to be fair it will be to lively for a six year old,a co 2 revolver may be a better option.
clakk
i have a Crossman Rat catcher and pistol, both really the same but 1 has a stock which would probably be better for a 6 year old to control. No recoil to worry about only 6lbs ft power and about 20/25 shots per bottle. Nice little units well made and as he gets older so many upgrades to add ,longer barrel ,8 shot mag conversion ,power upgrades as a grow into air gun theyre ideal atb

GingerCat
There's a Walter ppk bb jobby that I know will fit the tiniest of hands and returns around 50 shots per co2 capsule. It's accurate enough and quite good fun, I confiscated one from a nephew until he was old enough to have it. Of course I hardly touched it at all. ........... redial
I had a Gamo not sure which model but it was co2. Very disappointed you could see the pellet going towards the target, it was like playing long range darts. It looked nice but sold it asap. eddoakley
Looks rather tasty in Camo. It's only the camo that I have had and they're not hanging around. I have been really impressed with the package and so have my customers. Edd

That's a very good price on your link but then you have to add the postage. Of course pcp is a very different thing and a lot of people shy away from having the extra expense and hassle of filling, especially when it's for the kids or it's a 1st gun. defender
Probably something low powered co2 or single stroke pneumatic then spring might be too much they do recoil more
