AYA117
Does anyone know why Winchester shotgun cartridges are not available in the UK ? I have emailed Browning/Winchester Uk twice but clearly they were to busy to reply !!!! You can buy them on the other side of the ditch,so why not here ? Even saw a Browning sponsored clay shoot giving Winchester cartridges as prizes, great you win them ,like them OH! But you cannot buy anymore. dodeer
Damn hard to find. I buy mine in France on my frequent trips there. Not cheap though. Around €13 a box for 32g plastic 6 or ZZ 36g 7.

lksopener
All this they aren't what they are is rubbish. The american stuff is exceptional even the cheaper stuff. Just been through 1000 in the states, all made our stuff look **** and I'm including the better loads I shoot over here.
eddoakley
I found 1000 Winchester game cartridges (can't remember exactly what) under the bed a few years ago. Never did work out where or when I had bought them! Don' t recall having seen or bought any since. Edd

lksopener
Tighter patterns, better components and better breaks but I know all of this is debatable. Im a fan so overly biased I suppose but if I had a choice I'd have 10,000 over here.

AYA117
Most of the Winchester cartridges available in Europe are made in Europe,Italy I think. That is why the catalogues for US and EU list different cartridges.
Hamster
The old compression formed cases are no longer available, stuff called Winchester today will be different but as much as I loved the old (clay ones in particular) and wish they'd make a come back, I wouldn't want to tell them apart in a blind test. pinfireman
Winchester cartridges available in Europe are made in Italy. That started in the mid 80,s.... Today, there are NO compression cases, either here, or in the USA. As the dies used in making them came to the end of their useful lives, the USA manufacturers all went on to Reifenhauser tube cases. The base wad may mimic the base of a compression case, but that is all it does..... I still have 1500 Win AA Trap 7,s from the mid 70,s plus a few Remington RXP,s (and no, they are NOT for sale!)
