Yellow Bear
Is it my imagination or has anybody else noticed that Thrushes seem more numerous this year. I don't remember seeing so many before other than during hard winter weather elsewhere.
PPP
Absolutely, a few months ago I thought the same but Now they seem at the usual level, perhaps all the spares are now at your house...

old man
Nope. Sadly seem fewer than ever here. 1 song locally. Not seen a Mistle for 3 years. Hundreds of Jackdaws, crows and Magpies so suspect that's a problem. Edited May 2, 2018 by old man
Shufti
Conspicuous by their absence here north Essex Sadly!
Mice!
lots in and around my garden plus extra blackbirds than normal and wrens and robins. I think a lot of this is because i have hammered the squirrels in my local area, thrushes robins and wrens are indicator spieces according to the bto, and there ain't many squirrels round here. yates
No more than the odd one or two. When we moved into our current property I was pleasantly surprised at how many there were around. Sadly numbers seem down year on year. Still lots of other species to compensate though
strimmer_13
I believe it because it's now fashion to wear far too tight jeans
chrisjpainter
Hmmm. Plenty of songs but no mistles that I've seen, except the very occasional one on the reserve. I'm worried about this year, I think numbers are going to be down across the board.
Fisheruk
Songs and Mistles here. Yes hitting the greys seems to be the key as Mice has just said
vole
Absent round my house . More Blue,LT ,Great Tits , robins aplenty but not seen a single thrush yet . More house sparrows though which makes me happy . Blackbirds abundant . Wonder if they've pushed the thrushes out round here .
