Jaf4fa
Thinking about getting some custom fit passive ear protection, as I cannot afford electronic. I see that both Boots and Specsavers do ear protection for shooters. Anyone got any dealings with either and what are they like. Thanks in advance. MacSxS
Not Sure, about Boots or Specsavers, but I bought some from Custom Fit Guards for £89, used them Saturday on the pigeons and they worked a treat, I can easily hold a conversation, and they can be worn all day. TIGHTCHOKE
My Son and I use SUREFIRE and are very happy with them. Very reasonably priced and good hearing protection.

MacSxS
i think the Decibullz you have to mould yourself, "Custom Fit Guards" send you to an audiologist to have some impressions taken of your ears, then you post them to Custom Fit Guards were they mould them out of medical grade Silicone and insert the passive component, the whole process only took 3 weeks

Whats the SNR on those - the website is a tad lacking in actual information....
452 solution
I bought the Duo custom fit Guards, reasonable price and first class service. Wore them all last season and really pleased with their performance.

How does the valve thing work? Is it just a thinner silicon flap?
MacSxS
not sure it is all encased. it is something mechanical, because there is no batteries.
Dave at kelton
Used Emtec for twenty plus years and excellent. On my third pair
Wb123
I bought some custom moulded passive ones and to be honest I never use them. Howard Leigh max are far more comfortable for me and more effective. Even then I use those for the motorcycle and shoot with protacs. I’ve had three sets of moulds done and for me the plugs were a waste of cash. I would try a good range of earplugs and only if nothing works well for you spend on the expensive stuff. Exudate
I have some passive CENS, had then for a few years now, and rate them highly.

Another good thing with the Cens is if you want to you can always upgrade them for digital at a later date. I have the digitals and think they are very good,
