toontastic
I need to buy some 18650 batteries for my bike lights and there are plenty of cowboys out there on the web selling inferior product. So can anyone recommend a reliable brand and a stockist. Thanks

hedge
Bit late to the party but if you ever need any more, Olight are very good. I have about 5 tactical torches and they also double up as bike lights if needed. https://www.olightstore.uk/best-seller/batteries-and-accessories.html
powler
Another source is old laptop battery packs, usually 3 or 4 in them. I read the ones with fire in the names are not so good, and one I had free with a torch has died after a short while. lancer425
When i need any to rebuild a power cell, i buy scrap laptop bestiaries , the cheap ones off ebay are a waste of time. I have never bought a new 18650 in my life, all from scrap, strip them charge them check their condition, you will lose a few. i work on about two thirds good, its not always accurate in individual battries but over all its about right.
