Old farrier
Tried a 425 last week 66 30 inch barrels choke was 1/2..1/2 it was a nice gun bit heavy but good for absorbing the recoil it suited me quite well and I enjoyed shooting it I also tried a benellie black? Something semi auto very easy to shoot and got on well with it so for a clay gun a good option though not to my taste as I’m not a lover of plastic stocks Wednesday tried A 687 Beretta at a small shoot 39 /50 this gun was light and easy to shoot no recoil and pattered well with the cylinder and quarter there was nothing very difficult in the targets the afternoon was a warm up for the beaters Friday shot with my game gun side by side 72 struggle on some stands as they were the wrong way around for the chokes but did okay today a bit damp shot with a different 725 32 inch barrel and chokes 1/4..1/4 scored 66 another nice gun and very good for the longer stuff anyway that’s got you up to speed and I’ll keep you posted all the best of

figgy
It's the same gun as the 50th anniversary model with different engraving. Fella who shoots at marne a bit has one, let me have a few shots, very nice gun and handles well. Edited January 26, 2020 by figgy

I would like to experience a European pheasant and partridge shoot, where they walk up with dogs and nice semi autos. I have noticed in the last decade more and more clay guns being used, on a few shoots more semi autos too. Less tween and more modern fabrics in plain greens and browns

TIGHTCHOKE
You look great in your Tweed, clay shooting or not! 1 minute ago, Old farrier said: Not really however a good horse doesn’t come in a bad colure it next on the list proper clay shooting clothing recommendations for make types etc please and where do you get the shoes with the thing on it for resting your barrel on The shoe flap is really a trap thing for when you are not shooting from a cage. figgy
I just stick the muzzle on my shoe without the protector. Leaves nice black circles. On a sporting course people tend to think you look a twit with the leather key fob on top of your shoe. Smokersmith
Apparently there are folks that want to see the sport called clay target shooting, not clay pigeon shooting 🙄😱
