barrelsniffer
Due to recent damage to my ears i have now started wearing "on ear protection" for foxing etc, currently using the Impact models but want to get something better so have narrowed it down to either MSA or peltors (msa sordin supreme pro x or 3M Peltor ComTac XPI) Any guys on here have first hand use of either or any other recommendations ? Dave at kelton
I use peltor for clays and find them excellent
Smokersmith
I've had both and would recommend the MSA out of the 2.
Sussexboy
Never used Peltors for any length of time, but my MSA are comfortable to wear over a full day at the range.
wymberley
Whichever one doesn't 'clonk' on the stock when mounting the gun if your "etc" includes shotguns.

bluesj
Guess its down to how much you want to spend and what fits you better, as both have give or take the same noise reduction. I had the peltors (older version I think) for work and they were ok but you can get some that block out more noise at a tenth of the price. silver fox 1
Peltors Sport tac Are The ones I have I’ve been using them for years use them for everything clay pigeon shooting loading and rifle shooting on the range found them really good, I did have a problem with the gunstock keep knocking them when I first started shooting but I think that was mainly down to gun mount as this doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore. I can’t comment on the others because I’ve never used them, The strange thing is I never use them when out of a night foxing never given it much thought until now. Let us know what you decide and how you get on with them regards Sf1
WalkedUp
MSA fantastic but expensive to replace, not so bad foxing but no point risking them on the marsh or walked up. The £24 on Amazon are fine. I’ve had lots of ear defenders, electronics have a hard life in the field.
silver fox 1
The only thing that I have found with these type of ear defenders they make you sweaty around the ears during the summer months. I’ve often thought about buying some cens but keep hearing the customer service is poor
Dibble
I've gone the half way thing and bought some Peltor EEP-100, which work brilliantly. They do make your voice sound strange and eating shortbread sounds like walking across gravel, apparently all earplug ones do?
simonm
I have the MSA Supreme pro x, very happy with them. The bottom half is low profile so doesn’t interfere with stock. One of my main reasons for choosing these was they’re waterproof, handy this season!
