Danger-Mouse
That's it then, no extension. Technically the deadline isn't until 11pm tonight but as a law would have to be altered/repealed it simply wouldn't be possible in the time remaining. What a difference from the days of the Remainer Parliament of last year.

12gauge82
Thank goodness. The remainers will thank us for it one day.
Danger-Mouse
I'd completely forgotten about old Sourberry. It made my night when they booted her out of her seat in Broxtowe.
Rewulf
This made me larf ! https://www.france24.com/en/20200702-eu-calls-on-russia-to-probe-irregularities-reported-in-vote-granting-putin-right-to-rule-until-2036?fbclid=IwAR0QeesqLVC0RjyYe6z1XYs_7dne-aTu_LWPOK_70MbX_Ep2exnqAnwQc0k First off, whats it got to do with them ? Are they the new world police or something ? Also theyve been telling us for YEARS how corrupt and undemocratic Russia are, why are they so rattled now theyve (allegedly) been corrupt and undemocratic? This is especially funny coming from a corrupt and undemocratic 'trade bloc' that also thinks its a country 😏 What exactly are they going to do when Russia tells them to butt out and mind its own (rapidly diminishing) business, some more sanctions ? Best ask Germany first about that gas pipeline, see if its OK. All hot air and no trousers, they want to try fixing their own issues, before they start interfering in others, or try dealing with Libya, Syria ect, maybe have a word with China about HK ? Do some REAL work.

Guest
Spain to drop claims on Gibralter until trade talks are over. I saw this in the Express. Didn't realise they weren't reporting it anywhere else.
TIGHTCHOKE
Why would they, it is not what "they" want.

Gordon R
Claims to Gibraltar, fishing rights - all being dropped, as it has dawned on the EU that the Tories mean business.

They have a vested interest as have Civil Servants to squeeze the lemon dry. I sense Barnier is mumbling a bit but probably due to his chewing his lip. Then we have a Tory MP with a French name giving him solace.

That's the biggest tragedy in this, the brexiteers have been fighting the hardest battle against are own nations remains who were that afraid of their own shadow or selfish people who had vested interests milking the giant bureaucratic machine. It is literally only now, god knows how many years later, we're at the point we should have been the moment the leave referendum won.
