WalkedUp
Waiting list, classroom training sessions, compulsory walks and a two year probation (supervised visits) on the Dee. So best to plan early. However it is a great marsh and is very well run IMO. Just checked with the BTO, the Ribble Estuary averages 80,000+ wigeon, Lindasfarne 14.5k and Dee 4.5k. You may be best where you are.

henry d
We are seeing more come further up the river Tay, we watched a small number 20-30 grazing on the grass on an island above Perth, not been down to the estuary yet but I would imagine there are plenty there too
marsh man
Sunday morning I dropped my wife off at the supermarket near the estuary and took the dog for a walk to look at the wildfowl that are now in vast numbers , the tide was making up and bunches of Wigeon were constantly on the move and dropping down only a 100 yards or so from from the estuary wall , the whole area was Black with duck with the majority being Wigeon , on the chart above we were forth down the list ( Breydon Water ) We have also got good numbers running into the 1000s nearby in the Yare and Waveney valleys , certainly no shortage of duck and geese . If any of you are in the area and would like to look at the duck and geese then you are more than welcome to get in touch and I would be happy to show you where they are . As I said , there are reserves in the Yare valley at Buckenham where you watch Bean Geese and also good numbers of fowl in the Waveney valley where a lot of land is now wildfowl friendly . misser
sounds a haven for wildfowl, believe its a beautiful part of the country as well...might have to come across and have a look next year providing we are all back to some normality... atb...misser
