Twymyn
I want to buy a gas semi and I’m looking at the Winchester SX4 which does not appear to come in a LH version however it has the option to transfer the safety from right to left. Are there any lefties out there that use an RH gun - if so do you experience any with blow back on ejection? Rossco89
I have shot an Outlander on a few occasions, right handed gun from the left shoulder. Cartridges were kicked well clear of me and no issues with gas ect. Suppose a pair of safety glasses wouldn’t go amiss just in case

Alfieri
Hi Ive shot a RH auto from my left shoulder for 25 years without an issue. I brought a LH Benelli and couldn’t get on with it so reverted back.

Twymyn
I wear specs but they are not the same eye protection and given that my right eye sight is very poor I don’t think I’ll risk the sight the sight in my left eye. Appreciate the advice
Dave at kelton
I am a leftie and have both a benelli 12 left handed and a browning gold 10 right handed. I notice no difference when shooting nor have I for the last four years. I wouldn’t worry about it but wear safety specs if you are worried. WalkedUp
https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/rural-news/2015-10-30/nsw-farmer-wants-semi-automatic-shotgun-recalled/6898104 I believe this was a leftie shooting a right handed shotgun. Can’t recall the details. Probably a one off.

rangey
Also a lefty and shot right hand semis for years. Currently shooting a sx4. Simple to switch the safety over
grahamch
Have a 26in x 3.5 chamber Maxus which have used left handed for past 5 seasons without any issues with loads between 1 and 2.5 oz. Had the safety reversed for L H use. A grand gun

Spoon
Got hit in the face once when my bolt handle snapped after a shot. Wouldn't have happened if I was using a leftie. Otherwise it's never been an issue.
