Walker570
Brilliant, lovely old books. Well worth keeping because once you let them go, they are gone forever. I would find a special shelf for them in my home.

moongeese
Ashore & Afloat, by Stanley Duncan, founder of WAGBI, is a great read. I have a signed copy, along with Duncans plate off his ammunition box from his punt.

In one of my books , I think it is Wildfowlers and Poachers , it mention that when things were hard around these parts it was known that one or two gulls were mixed with a bit of belly pork and made into sausages , this was back in the 1920s , although going by the taste of some of todays sausages it could have well been published last week

Friend of mine was vilified in local press a few years back ... she was an environmental officer for local council and got a special licence to control the gulls around the local tip..... it was not reapplied for
figgy
Some idiots around, they need control the same as any species that get out of control.
