the hitman
Hi folks Driving home this morning around my block of terraced houses I spotted a carrion crowd in the middle of the road on top what looked like a large rat. The crow was try to pin it down while pecking, as I slowly approached the crow lifted to reveal a very alive half grown rabbit. The crow perched on a near fence while the rabbit darted under a parked car. I stopped got out and chased the crow - I looked under the parked car and the rabbit was gone. Never seen a crow do that before.

Never seen a crow do that before. A few years ago, early morning I was coming down my lane in the car and could see a commotion at the side of the road ahead as I slowly approached. It was exactly as you describe - a carrion crow finishing off a young rabbit. Looked viscious!! There was no mixy in the local rabbits at the time that I could see, so I believe it was a healthy young rabbit but can't be sure.
London Best
I thought everyone except RSPB subscribers knew that Crows did this.
old man
Many years ago on a Birmingham street I saw a pair of crows frantically try to disable/kill a complete newly hatched brood of about 5 starlings. They were mad for it.

That's a common sight Corvids mobbing buzzards. Driving into work yesterday it looked like a magpie was attacking a pigeon, I saw both birds and a burst of feathers from the pigeon, I was wondering if the pigeon was defending its nest. Saw a raven bludgeon a young thrush to death a few years ago in Skipton, they are predatory birds, just without the specialist tools to finish the kill quickly. Jim Neal
Something I've never had happen to me before did today - I was driving out of a village, just increasing speed to around 40mph when I hit a swarm of bees. Both van windows were partly open and I had bits of bee everywhere 😲

Jim Neal
Indeed! I've heard a few tales of a bee or wasp coming in through an open visor!
the hitman
I have googled this and apparently it’s not so uncommon for a pair of carrion’s to attack young rabbit’s, however they don’t have the tools for a quick kill so it’s a prolonged end for the rabbit- well named a murder of crows.
