Hi folks

Driving home this morning around my block of terraced houses I spotted a carrion crowd in the middle of the road on top what looked like a large rat. The crow was try to pin it down while pecking, as I slowly approached the crow lifted to reveal a very alive half grown rabbit. The crow perched on a near fence while the rabbit darted under a parked car. I stopped got out and chased the crow - I looked under the parked car and the rabbit was gone.

Never seen a crow do that before.

A few years ago, early morning I was coming down my lane in the car and could see a commotion at the side of the road ahead as I slowly approached.  It was exactly as you describe - a carrion crow finishing off a young rabbit. Looked viscious!! There was no mixy in the local rabbits at the time that I could see, so I believe it was a healthy young rabbit but can't be sure.

I saw two this morning attacking a buzzard in flight on my perm.

That's a common sight Corvids mobbing buzzards.

Driving into work yesterday it looked like a magpie was attacking a pigeon, I saw both birds and a burst of feathers from the pigeon, I was wondering if the pigeon was defending its nest.

Saw a raven bludgeon a young thrush to death a few years ago in Skipton,  they are predatory birds, just without the specialist tools to finish the kill quickly.
