Agriv8
Hi all I have a 20 bore.medalist that I may need to use when I am walking gun. My sholder is starting to give me jip and the thought of lugging the 12 bore about has me winching . Had a few through it today at local shooting ground and the stock needs extending by 3/4 inch to get close to sight picture of my other guns. There are some lumps of Walnut on eBay but you guys got any other ideas or where to go! thanks Agriv8
enfieldspares
Wooden stair makers and furniture makers. Their offcuts will have the grain in the right orientation for you as they'll be the "ends" of longer lengths.

DUNKS
Most RFDs have bin full of scrap guns waiting to be destroyed sawing the end off a stock is not going to alter thigs one tad!

oldypigeonpopper
Hello, if you have bad shoulder what ever shotgun you use will have some effect on this, I am with Scully, a pull on rubber pad ,
WalkedUp
I used plywood to get the right length. Works perfectly, shoot with it long enough then get one made out of pretty wood. Or just a thick rubber pad.

Agriv8
Thanks chaps. just for the record the shoulder agrivated by lugging gun about rather than shooting! Old stock is a grand idea as is team tractor I have a slip on extender but always find they can cause miss mount issues. walked up think you hit the nail on head cut several spacers so I can have a play ply wood and then replace with a fancy bit from my ‘ gun man’ who does ‘disposals’ Ta muchly for the advice Agriv8

I did this with one of my rifles, when using a NV add on. I inserted a 2" /50mm shaped piece of wood into the rubber 'boot' before attaching to the stock. It did the job.
