ilovemyheckler
Anyone fitted an ourdoor shower valve for cleaning their dogs? I was thinking of fitting thermostatic shower valve on the outside wall under the kitchen window as their is a hot and cold supply under the kitchen sink How would you stop it freezing in the winter? Put a insulated wooden cupboard around it, always hang flexible hose so water runs down and out.
B725
Just put a quarter turn lever valve on the outlet of the tmv.
Jim Neal
Fit two outside taps. Fit them with Hozelok adapters, use a short bit of hose off each tap going in to a Y connector, then a single hose to a spray gun. Probably £30 worth of parts and no bother with freezing, except when very cold you may have to pour some warm water onto the tap bodies to get them flowing. Plus side is it's useful to have the hot outlet for other stuff outside as well 👍
loriusgarrulus
Another alternative is a battery powered shower that is supplied from a 25 litre container of warm water. I have one of the Ring showers that can be run off batteries or a 12v car supply in the wood for showers. It is very good.
Dougy
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-PW1712-Pressure-Washer-Rechargeable/dp/B00GDEVHRW I bought one of these for when we've been picking up, we fill 2 litre flask with hot water and top up with cold or fill before we leave home. Leaving the muck where we got it from, then put absorbent dog coats on them until we get back home.

bruno22rf
If you have a mixer tap in your kitchen you can unscrew the insert and buy a Hozelok type hose adaptor that screws back in for less than a fiver, then you simply attach a hose to the tap, hang it out of the window and Bobs your uncle. tonyshooter
We had an outdoor hot and cold tap installed. It is a Woodford Model 22. It self drains and thus cant freeze. https://www.arleymosssupplies.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2712
