Firstly show us a picture because they may be collectable.  Other than that cut them open and empty the contents, powder on your garden and next time you have a garden fire throw the primer end on that for a Nov 5th effect.  Just a sharp crack as the flames do the job.

Blimey, shoot them after a wipe-over with a squirt of WD40.

They should kill Wood Pigeons if you are on form.

Agree  they ain't rusty, just fire it.

I'll look one out in a couple of minutes if I can find it. Now that is rusty.

The trouble is, not many of the newer shooters have ever had to save up for a box of cartridges.

I have run a brass sizing ring down many a swollen case before now so it would go in the chamber and many of these had that little black arrow found on many 12 gauge cartridges after the last war which had not been stored in good conditions. They all still did the job and put meat on the table.

I found a dropped one about like this.  It fired no probs and took the target.

If it goes does go bang (or pop), do make sure to check for a stuck wad up the spout.

Obviously pondering as to weather rusty cartridges are better than red ones 😂😂

Michael is an astute man, he knows the value of RED cartridges and he will only use rusty cartridges when out shooting on his own.  :cool1:
