CaptC
Walking the dogs last night I found a Blackbird’s egg no doubt removed from the nest by a grey squirrel. Wood pigeon nesting in the laurels in the garden but no sign of frog/toad spawn which can be as early as January here due to our balmy climate (?) Daffs, snowdrops and primroses out early last month plus bumble bees and the occasional large yellow butterflies Any other PW members seen anything? Down South
Primroses are out, first blackthorn flowers out, a few wild garlic flowers. Saw a brimstone butterfly along the woods edge yesterday.

sandspider
Daffs, snowdrops, primroses, the odd butterfly, wild garlic in leaf but not in flower yet, frogspawn... Even in our gloomy valley!
Walker570
All our spring flowers in wood are flowering and havebeen for two or three weeks, with the snakes head fritillaris just budding up. Saw a broken doves egg last week...magpie probably.... and the hen blackbirds are not showing for there morning feed of currants by our back door whilst the cock birds are, probably a sign they are already sitting. Warm this morning and one or two bees coming out of the hives to cleanse and they will very soon be looking for the willow flowers which are one of their first sources of pollen etc for the year. The rooks in the wood across the way have been busy building for a month or more and then that storm blew most out and they are busy with repairs. Amazing the size of stick they can carry. smokingdragon
Snowdrops been out for a few weeks, crocuses out but no daffs yet. Frog spawn in the pond and all the hedges busy with birds, also bees are flying when the sun is on the hives
JohnfromUK
Dafs inc. miniatures, crocus, hellebores, all in flower. Snowdrops - some left, but most over. Tulips coming into bud. Quite mild here - and a mild winter (very little frost), but windy.
39TDS
The ravens are pairing up here which seems late to me. 15th of March is normal budburst date on my apples and looks to be the same this year. ( I grow apples, budburst date is important to me)
Scully
Good covering of snowdrops here ( the wilds of Cumbria! ) and a few crocus. Daffs are getting there but nothing in flower as yet.
