Last major outbreak (2001) started mid February (just after the main shooting seasons had finished) and we (I was running quite a large shoot them) had a lot of sleepless nights over the spring/summer months (do we order birds/don't we etc.) - as shooting and access to farmland in general was banned here - and our area was cleared to go ahead with shooting in the summer - before the season here. Last case reported was 30th September. Main widespread outbreaks were around March and April I think, dropping off in May and low thereafter.
